A timely article. We were discussing this only the other day. The war in Ukraine is very close to us in Europe. We have family who live within hearing of the bombing and who have been taking in refugees since they first started coming across the border - so it becomes somehow personal in a way another war might not. Nonetheless, it's just as bad in Yemen at the moment, perpetrated by the Saudis, and yet our PM is on his way to Saudi for a visit. All part of the perfect storm that the world should have generated such a crop of corrupt and imbecilic politicians in positions of real power as all this builds up.
