Awful when people won't stick to speed limits that are clearly there for a reason. Our 20 mph zones outside schools have been around for many years now and, on the whole, people obey them, though it took time for it to sink in. There was a nationwide campaign using the thing that if a child is hit by a car at 30 mph they have an 80% chance of dying. If it's 20 mph they have an 80% chance of surviving. I might have got those stats a bit wrong but in that ballpark, and they had a catchy slogan and cartoon depictions and it pushed the message of how selfish it actually is to speed in wrong places.
