Don't know which of these is more surreal, that he's popular amongst a significant proportion of any group (except maybe the dangerously insane) or that anyone with more than one brain cell could think he handled the covid pandemic well.

And now he's enshrining government-mandated child abuse in Florida's laws. I have heard (though not tried to verify) that he served at Gitmo and was known for taking pleasure in torture. He certainly acts like that was true. So perhaps a war criminal as well.

I don't know what you do about all this unless you can get the money out the way. While elderly rich bigots without a useful thought in their heads are allowed to buy politicians, it's hard to see a way out.
