I agree with everything you say. It's an ongoing struggle. One area where many people have 'run aground' is in using Getty images - either inadvertently or because they think it's ok. Getty is notoriously litigious and will go after anyone large or small. Plus they have the resource to have bots trawling the web looking for their images. No place to hide.
