I guess it's unnerving for the racist, who has felt secure for so long in a casually racist environment that they didn't really have to think about, to have the world depicted as it is rather than as they have always assumed it should be. But the world moves on, no matter how loudly they rail against it, and it will move on and leave them behind eventually. Good article.
