I have worked on and off as a publisher's editor for many years. Mainly, it's very satisfying work, but I found myself nodding sadly at your list of frustrations. I don't get the online shenanigans but believe me, that small percentage of writers is working hard to frustrate editors offline as well as on. It's because I know the job that I've never responded to a call for volunteer editors on Medium. You are all superheroes as far as I'm concerned. I couldn't do it.

Oh and I'm quite sure you are both popular and very nice to work with. And you clearly have superhuman patience. 😇😇😇
