I was gobsmacked to learn that those pre-checked boxes (in that context) are not illegal in the USA. They would be illegal in the EU and I don't consider such a law to be government interference in citizens' lives - which would seem to be the argument made by the grifters who benefit from scamming people - quite the reverse. It it's illegal to rob someone in the street, then pre-checking those boxes or tagging them with threats should be illegal too.
For the record, I don't think Trump will run in 2024. If his mental faculties are still at all intact by then, which I doubt, I think he'll have had to pretend they aren't in order to avoid trial and jail (bone spurs part 2).
