I'm so sorry to hear how horrifically bad it has been. You are brave to write about it so frankly, but you will help others by doing so. You are right! There is absolutely no excuse whatsoever for the way you were treated (both medically and personally). I would like to say that it wouldn't have happened here - and in some respects, I think that's true, though our resource-starved NHS has some big problems.

I was in A&E (ER) with my husband for a full night after he had a heart attack. Patients were stacked on trolleys in corridors with ambulances queuing outside. Despite the chaos, his treatment on a clinical and personal level couldn't be faulted..

The pandemic has been used as an excuse too often to cover up inexcusable inadequacies. They need to be called out. Thank you!
