It's scary just how deeply maga republicans have infiltrated every level. I just heard an interview with Liz Cheney (whose politics I disagree with almost 100% but whose integrity I can't fault) - she relates hearing a republican lawmaker on the morning of Jan 6th referring to Trump as the Orange Jesus.

I can't help feeling thankful that Trump actually isn't very clever. If he had been, there would be no US of A by now. It certainly wouldn't withstand a 2nd term. As to whether it will survive his 1st term, it's still on quite a knife edge.
