I've naively been thinking that if I don't click through on stuff, the algorithm will learn not to keep presenting it to me, but I read this realising this strategy either wasn't working or was taking forever.

Though there was one person whose clickbait I once fell for, who appeared all over my feed for weeks, but eventually disappeared - I wonder now if they'd pissed off so many medium readers, they'd moved on to a more gullible and lucrative platform. I'm tempted to check that out, but if I'm wrong, I fear that a search will reignite that flood of clickbait in my feed.
