Love this take on Medium clapping.

I know some people have their own algorithms for how many times to clap related to what they thought of the article but I couldn't go with that (probably too lazy).

If I enjoyed it, I hold my finger on the mouse button whilst reading the last paragraph or so, and it gets itself to 50 if I'm not interrupted. If I really don't like something, I stop reading and move on.

If I give fewer than 50 claps, it's because I was interrupted or the mouse pointer slipped and I didn't notice (like I say - a lazy streak).

I'm not going to appoint myself arbiter between 40 or 50 claps or between 23 and 37 etc. I enjoyed it or I didn't.
