Thank you, that was fascinating. It's a slick well made film and I understand that they dramatize it for effect, but some of the (to them) smaller inaccuracies really grate in a lot of these 'based on truth' blockbusters. In this one it's the demonization of Lightoller who by all real accounts was quite a hero - he has living descendants who were genuinely hurt to see his reputation trashed.
