That's the most thoughtful piece I've read in a while. It reminded me why I never volunteered to edit on here (I edit enough in the other job) and why I never opened up my own pubs to anyone else.

I've met medium-type situations often enough over the years to recognise them for what they are. Great fun, good writing platforms, great people (way better than any other social media platform I can think of) but I know how easily it can become a chore. I'm set up so I can back off whenever I want to. In a day I can do 5 mins or 5 hours on Medium (or no time at all). It would be a shame to lose you so I hope you don't vanish altogether, but you need to do what's best for you.

I had one (just one) article go viral. It was exciting to watch. It made me no money (well, a few cents). My viral readers were all external but it was good to see the numbers go wild.
