The conspiracy theories are inevitable these days - a sign of a growing human sickness - the cannibalism one scores highly for both ignorance and stupidity. The focus on the plight of rich people while poor people are dying by the thousand unreported has been another angle.
And some bits have rather been glossed over by many news outlets eg that submersibles have, up to now, had a very safe track record.
It's sad that they died and another lesson that safety regs are there to keep people safe and not a means to stifle innovation. I was glad to know that their end was essentially instantaneous and they didn't have to live with being trapped or knowing for sure that they were doomed.
