The whole idea of a totally unqualified and inexperienced partisan group being given a task like this is indicative of how far the rot has spread in the GOP. As the only objective observers have been thrown out after trying to report breaches of process that would anyway render the whole thing worthless, it doesn't bear thinking about what they will do, or how careless they will be, with a stack of personal information.

History is very clear about the pursuit of 'end justifies the means' strategies. They come back and bite. Those who turn a blind eye are building a living hell for their children and grandchildren.
