You make some good points, though I'm sure there are times when inexperienced writers benefit from having someone more used to the system decide their tags. Bottom line, whoever owns the publication sets the rules though it would be good manners to ask before changing stuff. And to be fair to MySelections, they say explicitly that they want the publication name to be one of the tags. One of the first stories I had distributed was through MySelections so I have a soft spot for them.
