You're never too old. I've written 2 articles on this platform about people who have had their debut novel published when they were in their 80s. I can't give you links because a) it would take me ages to find them and b) I don't think it's appropriate to stuff comments with links. However, I can remember the names: Ken Reah with Edge of Arcadia and Mary Brown with I Used To Be. Both good novels. I look forward to hearing more about yours.
